Flowers for saying goodbye
There is a great deal to arrange when someone dies, and the flowers should not add to it. Tell us a little about the person — the colours they loved, the feeling you are after, roughly what you would like to spend — and we will make something fitting by hand at our workshop in the Ribble Valley.
What we can make
Hand-tied sheaves
Tied simply with the stems left showing, to be carried or laid on the coffin. The most natural of the tributes, and the one that suits our seasonal way of working best.
Wreaths and posies
The traditional round tribute, and smaller posies — often for a grandchild to carry, or to leave at the graveside afterwards.
Sympathy flowers to send
For sending to someone's home rather than the service — something gentle that does not need arranging by the person receiving it, at a time when they have enough to think about.
If you have something else in mind — a particular shape, a lettered tribute, or a flower that meant something to them — please ask. We will tell you honestly whether we can do it justice, and say so if we cannot.
How it works
1. Get in touch
Send us a message with the date of the service, who the flowers are from, and roughly what you would like to spend. If you are not sure what you want yet, that is fine — say so.
2. We talk it through
Colours, style, and whether the flowers are being carried, laid on the coffin or left at the graveside. We work with what is freshest that week, so we will tell you what is looking its best.
3. We get them there
To the funeral director, the church, or the family home — whichever is easiest. We deliver across Clitheroe and the surrounding Ribble Valley, Monday to Saturday.
As much notice as you can give us is helpful, but we know these things are rarely planned. If the service is soon, send us a message anyway and we will tell you straight away whether we can manage it.
Whenever you are ready
There is no order form to fill in for funeral flowers, and no rush. Send us a message with whatever you know so far, and we will take it from there.
